School Book Fairs

Not too very long ago, I posted a request for comments about school book fair companies on my favorite school media listserv, LM_Net (which, if you're not familiar with it and are in school media/library work, is a GREAT resource). I'm sharing the list of links on the various school book fair companies, as well as a link to a great article about school book fairs. If you're interested in LM_Net, you can check out information about them at http://www.eduref.org/lm_net/

If you are wondering about whether or not to even DO a bookfair, check out: http://www.writing-world.com/children/bookfair.shtml

  1. This is great information, and it would be infinitely more usable if your links were clickable. If you're not using FireFox as your browser, I suggest you get a free download and try it. Blogger "plays nicely with" FireFox. To create a link, you copy the address, then highlight the keyword in your post that will be clicked. There's a button to create the link, you get a drop-down menu where you paste the address, hit ok, and voila!

    Good luck! If all else fails, the help menus in Blogger might be clearer than my instructions!

    Just wanted to pass along a great book fair company that i just finished up. It is from Imagine Nation Books Ltd. called;

    TakeHomeBookFair.com

    I have done dozens of book fairs in my time and THIS one is by far the easiest and they give a 40% rebate which really cant be matched. It doesn't take any volunteers either. My school received over $2650 in cash and books!

    I recommend it to everyone if they want excellent titles and don't have time or room in your library.

    I ran the Take Home Book Fair by myself. The account mgrs are really helpful and know what they are doing. I believe you can get a free catalog on their website.

    Thank you,

    I wanted to share that Barefoot Books is also another book fair to check out. They have no media tie ins and they have culturally diverse books from all around the world.
